Thank Heavens for Cameron Beckman and Patricia Espinosa

For the first news cycle since President Obama visited Guadalajara, "Disaster in Mexico" is NOT the leading news story today in the press. Every Monday I plug "Mexico" into the google news to see what the English-language press is covering, and today I had to get 2/3 down the page before I hit a drug story. A US golfer (Beckman) and the Rio Group / CARICOM / Ditch the Gringos / Summit topped the news. Sports and economics (which I suspect is the only US interest in the new Lat Am organization) trumped sex and violence today.
